They also worked together on 'Castle Rock' and the upcoming 'Lisey's Story'
The king of horror Stephen King and J.J. Abrams of 'Star Wars' fame are looking to develop an anthology series together.
Recent television works from Stephen King (in an exec producer role) include 'Mr. Mercedes' and 'Castle Rock'.
He collaborated previously with Abrams on the latter.
The two are also working on an upcoming series for Apple TV+ titled 'Lisey’s Story.'
It is adapted from Stephen King's novel of the same name with Julianne Moore and Clive Owen leading the cast.
'Lisey’s Story' premieres this year and also stars Joan Allen, Dane DeHaan, Sung Kang, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Stephen King said last weekend (via The Wrap): "I talked with JJ Abrams a lot about a possible anthology series of tiny horrors.
"We got really down and dirty about it and talked about things that were really, really scary."
The author added: "I’ve got a creative relationship with J.J. Abrams that goes back to 'Lost,' when Entertainment Weekly put us together and we had a talk about that show.
"A bunch of us went out and saw a scary movie and I’ve been in touch with JJ since then."
Regarding Bad Robot, Abrams' film and TV production company, Stephen King said: "They’ve got a great organization, and they give great Christmas presents at the end of the year.
"I love working with them. It’s been a great relationship."
