Well this adds a bit of spice to the new series of 24 - it's emerged that actor and QI host Stephen Fry will play the role of British Prime Minister on the show! Who doesn't like Stephen Fry? No one is who.
The actor who has also starred in shows such as Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, will play the role of Prime Minister Trevor Davies, alongside Kiefer Sutherland. Deadline have described the character as "a strong and charismatic leader" going on to say that the "friendship with President Heller, and the Anglo-American alliance itself, [will] come under tremendous pressure because of personal and political crises."
The show is returning after a four year hiatus and will see Jack Bauer facing a terrorist attack in London. Of course he is. Don't get me wrong, no one could have loved 24 more when it first came out - and then it kept going, and going and GOING. So the news that it was coming back again, didn't exactly set the world alight. However, with this latest news about Stephen Fry joining, safe to say, you've got our attention 24!
