Well isn't this welcome news?
Jon Stewart's presence on late night television has been badly missed, particularly in a time when Donald Trump is running for US President. Luckily for us, he's reportedly set to make an appearance on The Late Show next week alongside his old pal Stephen Colbert.
Colbert is broadcasting The Late Show live all next week to coincide with the GOP Convention and Stewart is set to join him for one of the shows as a special correspondent.
Stewart and Colbert go back a long way with the latter serving as a correspondent on The Daily Show when Stewart was the host. Colbert then got his own show and the two would regularly take swipes at each others shows which suggested there was bad blood between the two for a while but Colbert returned to The Daily Show to give Stewart a heartfelt send off and Stewart currently serves as an Executive Producer on The Late Show.
Donald Trump looks set to be announced as the Republican nominee at the convention next week but could be a last minute challenger. Here's hoping that's the case if for nothing else to get some genius comedic fodder for Stewart and Colbert.
