Coronation Street: So Stella proved she's a bit of an idiot this week, when she let Karl back into her life. In fairness to the landlady, she has no idea that he's the reason she almost died, nor that he's developing a bit of a taste for killing. We'd like to think he'll stop with Sunita, but this is soap land after all... Speaking of the dearly departed, Dev's amateur dramatics left much to be desired, as he mourned the loss of his former missus. You're right Rita, it's the kids we feel sorry for too. Tina and Gary continued to grow closer and bond over the baby, but we have to say we simply couldn't handle another affair right now, so hopefully that's where it will end. And Tyrone finally waved ta-rah to Kirsty, while Sylvia and Dennis developed a taste for the munchies.
Emmerdale: Jimmy and Lisa's plans to tear Thomas and Belle apart backfired beautifully this week, when Emmerdale's answer to Romeo and Juliet did a runner, only for him to get cold feet at the last minute, and take his wan back to the village in the blink of an eye. Worst. Elopement. Ever. And that includes Nick 'Corrie Curtains' Tilsley and Leanne... Brenda continued to infuriate Gennie, and the viewing public in general, by refusing to talk about anything but alternative treatment, and ruining her daughter's plans for an early wedding. If she doesn't meet them half way, we're going to lose the plot too. And when Paddy wasn't busy confusing teenage rebellion with kidnapping, he was balking at the idea of Vanessa buying the veterinary business...
EastEnders: So, Dot kept her house, Sharon kept her fella, and hair extensions kept nagging Max on the Square this week. While the girls were busying worrying about men, as per usual, Jack was pondering whether or not to open his letter from Ronnie. Sure all she did was tell him a stolen baby was his... The less said about THAT storyline the better, it's a long distant memory for a reason. Speaking of babies, hair extensions is having one now. We're sure Tanya will be delighted to hear about that. Lola kept her cool when baby Lexi's temperature skyrocketed, forcing Phil to realise that he might not be able to keep a hold of the young wan forever, and Liam finally came home after all that nasty business with the gang. Why do we have a feeling we haven't heard the last of them?
Fair City: Not so steady Eddie finally got his comeuppance this week, and happy as we were to see the real criminal going down, we were actually more excited to see the smug smile wiped off Val's face. Here's hoping it's the last we've seen of Collie too, because his threats this week were quite frankly comical. Speaking of the hilarious, Paddy Bishop and Charlie Kelly forged an unlikely alliance, much to Esther and Vivienne's dismay, while Dolores' millions flew out the window, and Carol and Yvonne went head to head. Oh, and Paul Brennan continued with his Donald Trump/hard man act. You can stop that now dear, like seriously. And finally, Judith and Tommy's split took it's toll on Caoimhe and Neasa. Bets he'll be shacking up with Jo in a few weeks?
