Carrey was joined by Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump, Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris, and... Harry Styles?
'SNL' returned to US television last night, with Jim Carrey officially debuting his Joe Biden impression against Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump in a recreation of this week's debate.
The show's narration opened by admitting that it might be good to see the debate again, seeing as it will probably be the only one. Carrey, of course, was on fire as Biden, bouncing onto the stage in the signature black aviators, before telling Chris Wallace - played by Beck Bennett - that he's got "the beginnings of 46 fantastic ideas I may or may not have access to."
From there, the sketch took in Trump testing positive for COVID-19 - "And the China virus has been very mean to me in being a hoax. And that statement will probably come back to haunt me later this week..." - jokes about Trump's hair - "I’ll rip that thing off your head and burn it and bury it in the pet cemetery where it came from" - and Trump's constant interrupting, with Biden reminding himself not to "let your inner Whitey Bulger come out. Just flash them all that smile the taught you in anger management."
Meanwhile, Harry Styles appeared for a brief cameo as himself reading a meditation app while Biden had a time out, Maya Rudolph appeared as Kamala Harris, declaring that what America needs is 'WAP - Woman As President'.
Take a look.
