O'Connor's performance finished out the current season of the 'Late Late'.

Although nobody's really sure when we'll be able to have live concerts back to normal, at least there's still a chance to see and hear great performances.

Case in point is a hauntingly open performance by Sinéad O'Connor of 'Thank You For Hearing Me' on last night's final episode of 'Late Late'. The show featured - aside from Sinéad's performance - an interview with both Saoirse Ronan and Colin Farrell in lockdown, a brilliant pre-recorded interview with President Michael D. Higgins that covered everything from universal basic income to the need for better care for care workers, and a montage of this season's highlights.

No doubt that had montage been made after this performance, it would have been included. The song itself was first recorded in 1994 for the fourth album by Sinéad O'Connor, 'Universal Mother', which came after her controversial appearance on 'SNL' in which she tore up a picture of Pope John Paul II in protest over child sex abuse and the protection of guilty priests in the Catholic Church.

Here's the performance in full.
