Disney+ is just one day in.
Disney's new streaming service Disney+ launched yesterday in the United States but already they have annoyed 'The Simpsons' fans.
The first 30 seasons are available to watch however the first 20 have been stretched into a widescreen format. This means a lot of the screen is cropped out to fit into the 16:9 aspect ratio when the show would originally have been made for a 4:3 aspect ratio.
'The Simpsons' switched to widescreen format after season 20 so hence why it's not an issue for later seasons.
Needless to say, fans of the show are not happy.
Not only are the classic Simpsons episodes on Disney+ awkwardly cropped, but they're stretched in a lot of places too. Bart's head looks 4 inches wider here: pic.twitter.com/fCpmTPasGj

When they cropped The Simpsons into widescreen, they kept shots of the TV in 4:3. They really should've just kept the entire thing in it's original aspect ratio. pic.twitter.com/N2w7IxL3l9
