The former rugby player pulled out some serious moves on Week 2
If the term 'mullet wheel' has never entered your vocabulary until today, consider yourself lucky.
Those who watched 'Dancing with the Stars' last night were privy to the first 'mullet wheel' they've ever experienced, thanks to Shane Byrne.
Up until now, Byrne may have been best known for his rugby and punditry career as well as his 'unique' hairstyle - but he stole the show on the second week of the new series last night.
With the men taking on Latin dance this week, he and his dance partner Karen Byrne performed the Cha Cha Cha to DJ Otzi's 'Hey Baby', and it was certainly one to remember. Byrne performed several 'mullet wheels' (aka cartwheels), a few flips and more than one eye-raising hip wiggle - although he did admit that he required some WD40 to loosen up his hips.
More to the point, it looked like he thoroughly enjoyed himself and his sheer enthusiasm saw audiences both at home and in the studio warm to him.
The judges were bowled over, too - with Brian Redmond saying "You taught me something: be careful what you wish for, because last week I asked for more entertainment."
Meanwhile, Loraine Barry said that she had "never seen anything like it", while Arthur Gourounlian declared that Byrne was "burning hot."
