Shelbourne's goalkeeper is reportedly joining the reality show
If you've been watching the new series of 'Love Island', you'll know that there's already someone in the villa repping Ireland.
However, a new name with Irish connections is set to join Dublin real estate agent Catherine Agbaje in the next few days - and he's a name that will be familiar to Irish sporting fans, too.
Shelbourne FC goalkeeper Scott Van-der-Sluis is being lined up to join the other islanders in the new series, which kicked off on Monday.
The League of Ireland footballer was born in Wales and has a Dutch mum, which explains the name, and his older brother Jamie Reed is also a footballer.
He joined Dublin club Shelbourne as reserve goalkeeper last June, having previously played for the youth teams of various UK clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United, with Shelbourne manager Damien Duff calling him "very ambitious" when he was signed last summer.
However, it looks like his ambitions may lie elsewhere at the moment, if rumours of his impending 'Love Island' appearance are anything to go by...
