The actress recently announced that the TV classic is getting a follow-up

In case you missed it, 'Sex and the City' is getting a revival series at HBO Max. The series is titled 'And Just Like That...'

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will all be back to reprise their roles of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York, respectively.

However the other leading lady of the romantic comedy series, Kim Cattrall, is not returning as Samantha Jones.

Parker, Nixon and Davis all shared the teaser video for 'And Just Like That...' on their Instagram profiles.

Sarah Jessica Parker also responded to some fans' comments on her Instagram post.

When one fan suggested Samantha Jones be recast as Jennifer Coolidge, Parker told the follower that Samantha "isn't part" of the new series.

Another fan claimed that Cattrall wasn't returning because her co-star "didn't like her", calling back to the long-running feud between Parker and Cattrall.

Parker responded to the fan's comment: "No, I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn't part of this story. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do. X"

As another follower admitted she would miss Kim Cattrall and her character, Sarah Jessica Parker agreed, replying: "We will too, we loved her so."

The actress responded to another comment about missing Samantha, with the words: "She will always be there. And we are so excited. X."

As for what will actually happen in the series, which follows the characters in their 50s, her lips were shut tight.

"We have some new stories to tell," she wrote. "We are excited. X"

Regarding returning cast members, both Davis and Nixon replied to their co-star Willie Garson, who plays Stanford Blatch, so he could be back.

As for the return of Mr. Big (played by Chris Noth), Parker simply said: "Wait and see... x"
