Acting talent certainly does run in the family in the Ronan household, with both Saoirse and her dad Paul in the business. You may remember Paul Ronan from his role alongside Brad Pitt in The Devils Own (let's hope he wasn't Pitt's accent coach), as well as credits such as The Boxer, Ordinary Decent Criminal, Veronica Guerin, and last year's How I Live Now with daughter Saoirse.
It looks like Love/Hate is his next stop though, as the actor was spotted filming a scene with Aido (Mark Dunne) in Phoenix Park recently. Although what exactly his role is yet we don't know, details of all series five plots are kept tightly under wraps with the stars themselves only getting scripts a few weeks before their scenes.
Carlow native Paul is credited with inspiring Saoirse's love of acting, often bringing her on film sets as a youngster. Saoirse herself isn't too far away at the moment either as she is filming Colm Tóibín's 'Brooklyn' in Wexford with Domhnall Gleeson.
