"It's time for 'Gayer News'!"

With Jimmy Kimmel taking a much-need hiatus from presenting his show this summer, he's drafted in an impressive line-up of guest hosts to take over the reins.

Niall Horan killed it earlier in the week, and last night's episode saw the one and only Drag Queen extraordinaire RuPaul host 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' for an evening.

With over 12 years of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' under his belt - as well as all of the various spin-off versions that he hosts (UK and Australia) - the stakes were high for what he could bring to the table on a Wednesday night on US TV. But of course, his hosting skills did not disappoint.

His guests on the night were American comedian Iliza Shlesinger, who has a number of Netflix stand-up specials and who also appears on their newly-released romantic comedy 'Good On Paper'. The second guest spot on the night was reserved for the most recent 'RuPaul's Drag Race' winner, the ebony enchantress herself Symone, who spoke about her future aspirations for what's to come after the competition.

However, the most fun from the evening was RuPaul's opening monologue. After giving out advice to people who refuse to wear a face-covering while on an aeroplane and talking about Lil Nas X becoming chief impact officer at fast food restaurant Taco Bell, the presenter then turned his attention to the news of the week.

However, this is RuPaul, so this isn't just an old news round-up - it's time for 'Gayer News'. Serving charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent all at once, the audience were loving his take on Starbucks' pumpkin latte now being available and Michael B. Jordan being photographed on a jet ski. This is the important news we've been waiting for, people.

He also challenged the audience to a fun little game of spotting whether a person on Hollywood Boulevard was a Drag Queen or not - with surprising results.
