Will Ferrell's most famous comic creation was revived for a special occasion

He's undoubtedly one of Will Ferrell's most-loved (not to mention most iconic) characters, but you may have thought that you'd seen the last of Ron Burgundy.

The 'Anchorman' character was last seen in 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' in 2013, and although another sequel has been rumoured over the years, we haven't seen the San Diego news anchor since.

However, Ferrell made up for his absence last night by appearing on all of the major TV chat shows - including Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Conan, Seth Meyers, James Corden and Stephen Colbert's shows.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to announce a new film, but to plug the second season of 'The Ron Burgundy Podcast'.

His routine on each show was a few minutes of stand-up followed by an interview with each host, and needless to say, they were all pretty funny.
