Don't worry, we haven't got another TV actor with a lust for a music career on our hands. No, Chris Carmack, aka Luke from The OC, is merely joining the cast of ABC's musical drama, Nashville.
Ste in the city at the heart of country music, Nashville, as you may already know, tells the tale of an epic battle of sorts between Rayna James, the long time queen of country and Juliette Barnes, a southern fried Taylor Swift with a troubled past and a yearning to be taken seriously. Reads like one of those made for TV movies, doesn't it? Strange, it's rather addictive viewing.
Connie Britton of Spin City and Friday Night Lights fame, and Heroes starlet Hayden Panettiere (we've learned to pronounce it now) currently lead the cast. Both ladies nabbed themselved Golden Globe nominations for their performances in the series so it's expected to nab a second season. That's good news for Carmack, who Deadline reports is joining the team as Will "a sexy and charming country singer and guitar player, the kind of guy men want to be friends with and women want to be with."
Bets he'll be bedding both the ladies at some stage? Guess we'll just have to wait and see...
