Just stop. Stop it now before it's too late.
Does everything need to be made into a live-action movie or TV series?
Media conglomerates like Warner Bros. and Disney would have you believe that, yes, you do need to see your favourite animated TV shows turned into live-action TV series. But, to be really honest for a moment, are any of them actually good?
Sure, 'The Jungle Book' was a technical marvel and had a fantastic voice cast. 'The Lion King', admittedly, was quite redundant but the voice cast, again, was fantastic. As reported a few months back, a live-action TV series based on 'The Powerpuff Girls' is currently in the works at The CW.
The CW, in fairness, do have a history of making a decent swing at weird adaptations. 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina', 'Riverdale', 'Arrow' and so forth all came from The CW. But this? 'Powerpuff Girls' as a live-action show? Absolutely not.
For one, you think Jon Hamm - the only person capable of playing the Professor - is going to be involved? No way. Second, what about Mojo-Jojo? He's a talking monkey with a giant brain. How can that work in any other environment other than highly-stylised animation? What about HIM? What about The Beat-Alls? The licensing for that episode alone would sink a Marvel movie's budget.
Anyway, the pilot for the series has been ordered by The CW according to Variety, so if it works and the suits are happy with it, you'll be seeing live-action Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles. No word on casting yet, but this is probably going to be just too... weird to properly enjoy.
