As Better Call Saul inches closer to our television screens, more and more plot details are coming to light.
According to THR, Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad's showrunner, the show has been delayed to 2015 to allow him time to write. "We could have made the deadline, but I'm slow as mud. I still feel I'm very slow for television," Gilligan explained.
Playing Bob Odenkirk's on-screen brother is Michael McKean, whom you may recognise as the mayor of Sunnydale from Buffy or - if you're a certain vintage - David St. Hubbins from This Is Spinal Tap.
According to the official plot synopsis by AMC, the show will chart the rise of Saul Goodman. Set in 2002, Jimmy McGill is a small-time lawyer hustling to make ends meet and in search of "his destiny". Working with fixer Mike Ehrmantraut, the bungling lawyer will soon put the criminal in criminal lawyer when he becomes Saul Goodman.
Better Call Saul is expected on Irish televisions by 2015.
