We hate to see it
The season dipped last night after none of the bakers really hit the high standards set by the judges.
The quarter-final of the competition saw the bakers tackle pastry week on 'The Great British Bake Off', but surprisingly there were no real stand-outs in terms of an all-out dominator of all things crispy and crunchy.
The biggest drama in the tent this week was Janusz's missing spring roll for the technical challenge. Did he miss count? Did he pretend he had made eight when in fact he knew there were only seven? Or did Noel Fielding sneakily down the tasty Chinese starter without anyone seeing him? It looks like we'll never know for sure - but miraculously Janusz didn't fair so badly in the challenge, coming second overall.
There was trouble for two of the five remaining contestants this week, with Maxy and Sandro being the judges' bottom two bakers of the week. Unfortunately, Maxy bit the filo pastry this week and didn't make it through to the semi-finals, even though she had been crowned Star Baker on two separate occasions.
Syabira, on the other hand, did come out on top and took home Star Baker for a third week in a row. If she doesn't take the title in a couple of weeks' time, we'll eat... some pastries in honour of the cute ray of sunshine.
Here's how viewers reacted to pastry week in the 'Bake Off' tent.
With only two weeks left in the competition, who is going to come out on top as this year's winner? We have our favourite - who's yours?
