Paddy was a late entry to 'The Circle', but came away with £70,000 in the end.

Channel 4's 'The Circle' ended last night with Irish contestant Paddy Smyth emerging victorious and claiming the £70,000 prize after being voted by his fellow contestants.

Smyth joined the show and went down to the final five contestants, the others being Tim, Woody (who's the son of Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim), and Sammie (who turned out to be a catfisher named James).

Unlike other reality shows, the prize money in 'The Circle' is split 70 / 30, with the larger portion being awarded by the players themselves. Each week, the contestants vote for their favourite player, but have no interaction with one another aside from the show's social media network. The remaining £30,000 goes to the viewer's choice, which ended up being Tim.

Speaking to Emma Willis after his big win, Paddy "never thought (he'd) make it past the beginning," especially as he was a late entry. "I came in with such insecurities and that circle accepted me," he said.

Here's the moment where Paddy won.
