As we reported earlier today, the thirteenth incarnation of BBC's Doctor Who has been revealed as Broadchurch star Jodie Whittaker.
Whittaker previously worked with incoming showrunner Chris Chibnall on said show, and Whittaker was a heavy favourite to take over from Peter Capaldi - so much so, in fact, that Whittaker was 6/4 joint favourite with Death In Paradise star Kris Marshall.
Of course, it shouldn't surprise anyone in the slightest that Whittaker's announcement has sparked the kind of reaction you'd expect for a woman getting what was previously a man's job.
You've ruined it now 😡😡😡😡

For the record, it's a science-fiction show about an alien who can change form when they die - and The Master has been played by a woman this season, so it's been pretty well signposted for everyone.
So shut up, basically.
