Staying in for the Easter weekend? Sure you are. Here's our picks of the movies for this weekend.

Friday - BBC 2

21.00 - Selma

David Oyelowo leads the cast in this affecting biopic based on the Selma to Montgomery voting marches, with Tom Wilkinson playing Lyndon B. Johnson and Carmen Ejogo in the role of Coretta Scott King. Directed by Ava DuVernay, the film went on to become a critical success and won John Legend an Oscar for the tie-in song, Glory.

Sunday - TV3

21.00 - The Expendables 3

Sylvester Stallone leads an all-star cast of '80s action heroes in what's likely to be their final outing together in the same film. Mel Gibson turns up as the villainous Conrad Stonebanks, who helped to create The Expendables and has since become a ruthless arms dealer. It's hilariously stupid in parts, but it's more of a who's-who than anything else and you've even got Ronda Rousey in there as well. Mad stuff altogether.

Monday - BBC1

20.30 - Guardians Of The Galaxy

For our money, one of the best films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 only a few weeks from our cinemas, this is the perfect time to sit down and take it all in. Chris Pratt, in arguably his break-out role, is Star-Lord - a thief and scoundrel who's forced to team up with a band of misfits that includes a talking tree, a genetically-modified raccoon, a super assassin and a muscle-bound widower who takes everything literally. With a cracking soundtrack of yacht rock favourites and some spectacularly staged sci-fi action, Guardians of the Galaxy is a blast. Watch it.
