It was a superhero acting gestures stand-off

Who has the best superhero power stance? Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, or Michael Fassbender? Turns out it's definitely not the latter.

After a rather tumultuous journey (to say the least), 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' is finally nearly upon us. And the cast of the movie joined Graham Norton on his red sofa last night. 'X-Men' returnees Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Sophie Turner were joined by franchise newcomer Jessica Chastain who were discussing each of their signature hand gestures.

And it turns out that each of them has their own little way of using their on-screen superpowers - and some definitely seem more impressive than others.

From Sophie Turner's Dark Phoenix twisting the doorknob, to James McAvoy's magpie salute, we cut to Michael Fassbender's Magneto who... well... as Turner elegantly puts it, is "straining for that sh*t."

Here's the full chat, also featuring Chastain desperately trying not to give away any spoilers.

And now we will never see Magneto as that much of a threat anymore.

'X-Men: Dark Phoenix', which will signal the end of the X-Men franchise as we know it, will arrive in Irish cinemas on June 5th.
