Nineties rom-com queen Meg Ryan looks set to make a comeback as she follows in the footsteps of so many film stars by making a move to television. The actress is set to star in an upcoming comedy called Picture in Paris, which will be an adaptation of Brian Hall's short film of the same name.
The half-hour series, which will also be written by Hall, is set to follow the story of an empty-nester mother who leaves the suburbs for a new life in Paris.
Yeah... it sounds terrible to be honest, but we have our fingers crossed for Meg. A jump to TV has done no harm at all to fellow nineties star Winona Ryder's career last summer, but this show doesn't sound half as promising as Stranger Things did.
Ryan is also set to executive produce alongside Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor, while American network Epix looks likely to pick it up for a straight-to-series order.
