And it was all over a dumb name
Maura Higgins may not have won reality series 'Love Island' but she has been keeping busy since.
Since her stint on the show, Maura has landed various gigs including slots on ITV's 'This Morning' playing agony aunt and showing off her hometown in 'Maura's Love Ireland'.
She's also part of this year's Dancing on Ice' line-up.
And while she was due to get another show, that project has been put on hold. Why? To quote a renowned playwright, "what's in a name..."
Miss Higgins got into a spot of legal trouble over an ITV2 show she wanted to call 'Maura the Explorer' (seriously guys, more puns?).
But the makers of Nickelodeon animated kids’ show 'Dora The Explorer' were not happy about it.
A TV source told The Sun: “It was a blow for bosses, who want to keep her on TV at any cost.”
The concept for the stand-alone show has now been shelved, according to reports.
But between 'Dancing on Ice' and other projects, we reckon she'll be just fine.
Maura is currently dating fellow 'Love Island' contestant Curtis Pritchard.
