Ah here.
We're not even a full week into 2021, and already, it's looking like there's a 'Love Island' marriage on the cards for the new year.
Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor, who apparently have only been dating since November, are now already discussing potentially getting married at some point later this year. The two were taking part in an Instagram Q&A when they were repeatedly asked about if and when they plan on getting married.
"Oh God... em, next year?" Chris answered, with a bit of a back and forth on the specifics of what year it is. After relenting over whether it's this year or next year when their nuptials will take place, Chris relented and said, "OK, this year."
So, there you have it, folks. The logical endpoint of all 'Love Island' relationships. A marriage proposal over Instagram, asked by some randomer, on a Saturday evening in between spon-con for Inglot. We've come full circle.
The question now is whether Curtis Pritchard gets an invite to said wedding.
