Mrs. Maisel is back.
If you haven't watched 'The Marvellous Mrs Maisel' yet, get on it. Hailing from 'Gilmore Girls' showrunners Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, this whip-smart show about a 1950s housewife turned comedian is an Emmy favourite, winning sixteen in total, including Outstanding Comedy series.
The hit show returns for a third season on December 6th and will see Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and Susie (Alex Borstein) head off on tour with singer Shy Baldwin.
According to the synopsis they find that life on tour with Shy is "glamorous but humbling", and they "learn a lesson about show business they’ll never forget". Elsewhere, Joel (Michael Zegen) struggles to support Midge while pursuing his own dreams, Abe (Tony Shalhoub) embraces a new mission while Rose (Marin Hinkle) learns she has talents of her own.
Show regulars like Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby) and Sophie Lennon (Jane Lynch) will also be returning along with the new addition of Sterling Brown ('This is Us', 'Black Panther').
We've already had a teaser, now Amazon Prime has released its official season 3 trailer.
Sherman-Palladino said of Midge in a statement about season 3; "Her journey this year that we've set out for her is it's the first time she's setting out as a road comic, it's the first time she's getting paid for this, it's the first time she's going to have consistency, and she's dealing with audiences that aren't her people. That is going to bring its own story twist to it, we're definitely going to some different places in Season 3."
