Jon Hamm (of Mad Men and big willy fame) is said to be obsessed with 'Downton Abbey'.
Don Draper's real life counterpart loves the British show and makes sure to catch up on it whenever he can.
He said: 'I'm fascinated by 'Downton Abbey' and I was a late adopter of 'The Wire'. I watched the show over the course of two weeks.'
Jon recently directed an episode of 'Mad Men' and though he was initially reluctant to get behind the camera, he decided to accept the offer after seeing how well his girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt and 'The Town' co-star Ben Affleck juggle both acting and filmmaking.
He told Us Weekly magazine: 'Initially I said, 'No thank you'. But then I saw her balance acting and directing very capably.
'Ben was also inspiring. As an actor your focus is in front of you but as a director, your focus is 360 degrees. It's like a switch you have to flip, he's good at it.'
With Downton Abbey returning for another series, should they find a way to have Mr Hamm in the mix? Some rich cousin from America? Some dreamy lothario to entice Lady Mary? It'd certainly make me return to it, as I've lost interest since they killed off Lady Cybil and *spoiler alert*, broke my heart in the last episode of season 3 (when, for no good reason, they cut the best looking thing about the show).
What's also been reported is that Dynasty star Joan Collins wanted a Downton role too; sure why not, it's only one of the most popular British TV shows around the globe. Speaking at the launch of her One Night With Joan show in England last week, she opened up about being an enormous fan of the show, and how she "wanted" the role of Cora's mother Martha, before Shirley MacLaine nabbed it.
Surely there's another role they can squeeze her in for? She can play Jon Hamm's mother, or much older lover who ends up killing Lady Mary when she finds out they've been having an affair. Hell, I should write the script myself.
Who would you like to see shake things up at Downton?
