The air date will also likely be delayed
The 'Love Island' producers are determined for the reality series to go ahead this year. However there may have to be some changes in order for that to happen.
According to Variety, the second edition this year of the hit TV show (after 'Winter Love Island') will likely air later than usual.
While it normally hits TV screens in June, this year - if it goes ahead - it will likely broadcast from August or September.
And that's not the only change.
Traditionally the series has been shot in Mallorca, Spain, with the winter version filming in Cape Town, South Africa.
Production may have to be moved to the UK due to the significant challenges with international travel at the moment.
'I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!', which is normally filmed in Australia, may also be shot in the UK this year.
A senior entertainment executive said that it's all a matter of insurance.
They noted: “There are going to be myriad, complex conversations going on. It’s all down to whether you get insurance. Can you insure the show, and will insurance firms say, ‘We need to see that everyone is vaccinated or immunized beforehand.'”
