Cue the poor piano playing
It's officially unofficial. Liam Reardon and Millie Court are over. The pair have released statements on their Instagram pages announcing their split.
In a week of 'Love Island' that sparked couple comparisons to the current reigning winners, Liam Reardon and Millie Court are splitsville, baby doll, just before their crowns get passed on to the new villa King and Queen to-be.
People have been speculating about their relationship online now for some time, as is only natural with relationships in the public eye. But this time, fans who noticed the distance between the couple were right, with both Reardon and Court releasing statements.
This morning, each of them shared a similar paragraph to their Instagram stories. Millie states, "Hi everyone, to avoid any speculation Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have separated".
"It's been a tough decision and I am gutted but it's ultimately what is best for us right now. Thank you to every single one of you for supporting our relationship. Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island and the past year," she writes.
Continuing her statement, it reads "I wish Liam all the best in everything he does. We're both ready for new chapters and I'm excited for what's next. Love, Millie".
In Liam's almost identical note, he states, "We both will continue to be friends and I will remain as Millie's biggest supporter in all that she does and I know she will do amazing".
The pair had been living together for the last few months and stole the hearts of the nation (while pissing off others) with their onscreen love story. Welp, we wish them all the best.
