Those of you who have been spending your Sunday nights recently watching the drama unfold on The Night Manager on the BBC1 will be delighted to know that producers are in talks to greenlight a second season.
The drama series, starring Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman and Hugh Laurie, has proven to be a ratings winner attracting up to 8 million viewers to its Sunday evening slot.
The show is based on a novel by John Le Carré, and its producers are the author's sons Simon and Stephen Cornwell, who are currently in "an advanced stage" for another six episode season, according to reports.
The Night Manager follows former British soldier Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) who infiltrates the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper (Laurie) to uncover Roper’s alliance with the West’s intelligence community.
The drama will launch in the USA on April 19th on AMC, while its season one finale will air on BBC1 on March 27th.
