Roisin Murphy, Michael Kiwanuka and Tom Jones will all join Jools and his orchestra
If you're planning on staying in this New Year's Eve (ha ha ha ha, etc.), you'll no doubt be wondering whether there's any good entertainment on the telly.
Although a lot of things have been nixed in 2020, Jools Holland's annual Hootenanny will go ahead - pandemic or no pandemic.
The line-up this year is a suitably mixed bag for the year that's in it. Joining the diminutive shouty pianist in the studio will be nu-soul singer Celeste, Sir Tom Jones, this year's Mercury Prize winner Michael Kiwanuka, the amazing Roisin Murphy, prog musician Rick Wakeman, r'n'b/soul singer Ruby Turner and Holland's former Squeeze bandmate Chris Difford. Rag N Bone man was due to perform, but is no longer on the bill.
There will also be archive footage from previous Hootenannies, with Jamiroquai, Rudimental and Ella Eyre, Madness, ABC and Aloe Blacc all featuring.
The 2-hour show kicks off at 11.15pm on BBC2 on New Year's Eve.
