Kevin Smith has been talking about a sequel to his cult indie movie Mallrats for years. Now it looks like we're finally going to get it, just not in the medium we expected. 

The directer announced on a radio show that his long teased sequel to the 1995 film will now come in the form of a ten part series. 

Smith recently direct an episode of The Flash so it's possible he liked the experience so much he decided he wanted to make his own show or perhaps he feels there's too much story to tell in the world of Mallrats to fit into a two hour movie. 

There's no word yet on when the show will even start filming but watch this space for now.
