From The Little Vampire to underwater vampires, Jerry Maguire star Jonathan Lipnicki sure has grown up eh? The actor turned MMA fighter is gearing up for some serious SyFy action when he co-leads the network's Sharknado follow-up, which is due to hit US TV screens in just a few weeks time.
As per Deadline, the made-for-TV movie is called Beast of the Bering Sea: It tells the tale of a brother-sister team who go prospecting for a bit of gold in an underwater cave (as you do), only to disturb a whole colony of blood-sucking amphibious predators called sea-vampires. And of course, these lovely creatures can survive on land.
Lipnicki, who has certainly aged well, plays the brother while Sharknado's Cassie Scerbo (y'know, your wan who did a Jonah on it and survived being swallowed by a sea creature) is the sister. Kevin Dobson from Knot's Landing is among the cast too.
Oh, and while we're talking about SyFy, Deadline also noted that the networks will air another made-for-TV movie by the name of Stonado in late November. This one's all about large boulders being hurled through the air by a freak weather system, and was pulled from the TV schedules in April after the Boston Marathon bombings.
Stonado was the one that started it all though, apparently, so it's definitely one you won't want to miss...
