The new season of Game of Thrones is just three days away, or two days if you're lucky enough to live stateside. Excitement levels are at an all time high and while none of us want spoilers, we were delighted to discover that a certain someone who has been missing for quite some time is definitely returning in season seven.
It's Gendry! He will officially stop rowing that boat of his as actor Joe Dempsie returns to his role. The news was confirmed by the presence of Joe at the world premiere of Game of Thrones in Los Angeles on Wednesday,

Last we saw of Gendry, the Red Lady was using leeches to get his King's blood (Gendry is the illegitimate son of Robert Baratheon), and had more dire plans for the lad until the Onion Knight (Liam Cunningham) stepped in and helped him escape on a boat.
And then nothing. We haven't seen or heard from him since season 3.
Still rowin'...#GoT

Dempsie was keeping quiet about what Gendry would be up to in season seven but he did say he was getting a very positive reaction from fans of the show about his return, telling The Times: "Very fortunately, from what I've seen it's been nothing but interest and excitement and some quite witty memes."
