'Game of Thrones' and 'American Crime Story' proved the biggest winners at last night's Emmy Awards, while new Amazon series 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' also did extremely well at the ceremony which was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
Some of TV's biggest stars turned up to collect their gongs - including Henry Winkler aka The Fonz, who won his first-ever Emmy for 'Barry' - the HBO dark comedy about a hitman-turned-actor that stars Bill Hader in the title role. Hader also won Oustanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the role.

Alex Borstein, meanwhile - aka Lois Griffin in 'Family Guy' - won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for the aforementioned 'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel'.

The series follows a housewife in 1950s New York who becomes a stand-up comedian. It also won Best Directing and Best Writing in a Comedy Series, while Rachel Brosnahan won Outstanding Lead Actress in the same category - becoming the first-ever winner of that award born in the 1990s.
Other winners included Jeff Daniels for his role in western series 'Godless', Darren Criss for his role as Versace killer Andrew Cunanan in 'American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace' and Peter Dinklage for 'Game of Thrones'.
