Peter Donegan's father, Lonie, wrote the song 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again' in 1962.
It was an emotional night on 'The Voice' as Tom Jones sang one of his most well-known hits, 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again' - with the original songwriter's son.
Peter Donegan appeared on the blind auditions of the first week of 'The Voice' and, after Jones turned around, recognised him as Lonie Donegan's son. Jones asked the son if he knew his father's song and asked if he'd play it on piano, with Jones breaking into a full-throated performance.
Here's the moment, as it happened.
Jones admitted afterwards that the song itself was quite emotional for him, saying that "(a) couple of the notes I couldn’t get out. It just stuck in my throat."
Donegan's father, Lonnie, was known for his work in skiffle and passed away in 2002. Donegan has sinced joined Tom Jones' team, with the impromptu duet sealing the deal.
