The singer-turned-actor brought his A-Game

Harry Styles took on the huge task of both host and performance duties on 'Saturday Night Live' last night, and certainly lived up to expectations.

From his infamous sketch impersonating Mick Jagger in 2017, we should have known that when Harry Styles returned to the 'SNL' stage two years later on double duty, he would be bringing great comic timing once again.

Taking to the stage last night, Harry was on top form as he dove head-first into every sketch thrown at him. From playing something called a funeral DJ, to an employee who accidentally posts erotic comments on his work's social media account, he impressed in every sketch.

Harry Styles' opening monologue however, might have ruffled a few One Direction feathers and was an early sign of what was to come. After a nervous start, Harry made the monologue his own, and seemed to feel much more comfortable after sitting down to "play" the piano.

Making reference to One Direction, Harry quipped: "Now, I dunno if you've heard or not, but I'm not in a boy band anymore... I'm in a man band now."

He then went on to talk about his old bandmates, which might not go down too well with one of the members. Harry said: "I love those guys, they're my brothers. Niall, Liam, Louis... And ah, Ringo. Yeah that's it."

Harry is of course dropping a not-so-subtle dig at his ex-bandmate Zayn Malik, who was the first member to leave the group in 2015. The band went on hiatus in 2016, and have yet to make a comeback.
