The weekend is here and what a weekend for TV it is! Ireland will be hoping to secure the Six Nations title again tomorrow but there will be a lot of passes thrown before that is decided. While The Late Late Show will provide some Hollywood style entertainment with Mr. Russell Crowe stopping by for a chat, so it's all go.

Check out the best of the weekend TV below...

FRIDAY

The Late Late Show
RTE1: 9.35pm

As we said above, none other than Russell Crowe will be stopping by for the chats with Ryan. He's currently on the promotional tour with his new movie, The Water Diviner, and is in town for the Jameson Dublin Film Festival. Should make for an interesting interview! As well as himself, actor Ryan O’Neal will be on to chat about the 40th anniversary of Barry Lyndon which Ryan starred in and was filmed in Ireland. There will be some comedy from PJ Gallagher & Joanne McNally who will discuss their new stand up show called ‘Separated At Birth’, which takes a humorous look at their personal stories around adoption. Finally, the lovely Rose of Tralee will discuss her trip to Belarus with Adi Roche.

Alan Carr: Chatty Man
Channel 4: 10.00pm

We may only have a 'best bits' on The Graham Norton Show tonight, but we do have Alan Carr back for a brand new series of celebrity-fuelled antics. Joining the NTA winning host will be all four coaches of The Voice UK - Rita Ora, Will.i.am, Ricky Wilson and Tom Jones, who will be chatting about the forthcoming live shows. As well as Hollywood star Antonio Banderas, who appears in The SpongeBob Movie: A Sponge Out of Water. Plus, Gogglebox's posh tipplers Steph and Dom Parker drop in to discuss the new series, and Ella Henderson performs her latest single Mirror Man. Not bad!

Stargazing Live
BBC2: 9.00pm

The lads are back for one final night of stargazing action at the Jodrell Bank Observatory where they view some images of this morning's solar eclipse, which we saw feck all of but no doubt they have the money shots. Liz Bonnin will be learning how a new generation of missions to the sun will fly closer than ever before. While Dallas Campbell is at the European Space Agency's test centre in Holland and Lucie Green takes a closer look at the North Star.

SATURDAY

Live Six Nations Rugby: The Final Round
RTE 2: 12.00pm, BBC One: 12.10pm

Settle yourself down on the couch for the day as all the action from the Six Nations comes down to this, the final day. The action comes from Stadio Olimpico, Murrayfield and Twickenham as Wales take on Italy, Ireland face Scotland and England meet France, with three teams still in the running to come out on top of the table.

What Ireland need to do is get a big win over Scotland, as it may well come down to points differential to separate the teams who are in contention to win. Scotland haven't been fantastic to date in the tournament, but will provide a stern test for the Irish, while Wales' win over the Boys in Green last time out sees them headed to Italy with victory in their sights, provided they can kick on and score a lot of tries.

At the moment, they sit well behind Ireland and England on the points differential, so they would need to add a lot to their tally to have a chance, while a French team that has been disjointed and poor could up their performance for a big one off occasion against England to spoil their party, and help Ireland on the way to defending their Six Nations crown. No matter what the outcome, you won't be able to take your eyes off it all day, we imagine. Kick offs are at 12.30pm (Italy v Wales), 2.30pm (Scotland v Ireland) and 5.00pm (England v France).

Jurassic Park
RTE2: 7.30pm

If all the drama of the Six Nations wasn't enough for you today, you can have more heart-stopping fun by watching Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Laura Dern and some kids get chased around a park by dinosaurs. Loads of craic. Worth reminding ourselves of the original too considering there is a new version on the way with Star-Lord himself Chris Pratt in the lead.

Hardy Bucks the Movie
RTE2: 11.00pm

Somebody went and gave the Castletown lads a movie there a couple years ago and you can see the fruits of their labour on the telly box tonight. The lads all decide to rent a camper van and head to Poland for the Euros, however things go a little off course when a detour to Amsterdam leaves them penniless. Of course the boyos can't give up now, and turn to drug smuggling to fund their adventure. It's a road trip movie really - Hardy Bucks schtyle.

SUNDAY

The Voice of Ireland
RTE1: 6.30pm

After weeks (and weeks and weeks) of auditions it's time for the knock-out rounds, which is a new addition to the series this year. It sees three members from each team perform before judges Kian Egan, Bressie, Rachel Stevens and Una Foden, with only one being able to make it through to the quarter-finals. They certainly don't make it easy on anyone, do they?

Louis Theroux: By Reason of Insanity
BBC2: 9.00pm

The fantastic Louis Theroux returns to our screens tonight with this brand new series where the presenter immerses himself in the world of Ohio’s State Psychiatric Hospitals. Never one for an easy challenge, is that Louis! The series will see him meeting patients who have committed crimes, sometimes horrifically violent ones - while in the grip of severe mental illness. Over the course of this two-part series, Louis will be taking a closer look at mental illness in an attempt to understand how society cares for some of its most vulnerable and most dangerous members. Undoubtedly intense viewing, but where Louis Theroux is concerned, it's always must-see.

Irish Pictorial Weekly
RTE1: 9.30pm

The satirical sketch show is back! We will miss Dermot Bannon but this lot should help us get over our lack of architecture banter of a Sunday evening. The usual heads are back including Barry Murphy, Gary Cooke, Eleanor Tiernan, John Colleary, Paul Howard, Alan Shortt, Colum McDonnell and Tara Flynn. Guaranteed lols and not one atrium in sight.

Barclay's Premier League: Liverpool v Manchester United
Sky Sports 1: 12.30pm

Liverpool and Manchester Untied have one of the most heated rivalries in the premier League, and with both teams eyeing up a place in the top four, there's a lot on the line for them in this crunch fixture this Sunday. Van Gaal has taken a lot of criticism for the style of football that his team is playing, but a substantial win over Spurs last weekend has seen them silence the doubters, albeit temporarily. Another win against Liverpool would not only give both the manager and the players plenty of breathing space in the race for the top four, but would also serve to show that the system is finally clicking into place.

However, Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side have been in fantastic form of late, and with all the new additions to the squad looking as though they finally understand how he wants them to play, they've been untouchable, playing at a quick, high intensity tempo that could hurt a vulnerable Manchester United backline. Kick off at 1.30pm, highlights on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One at 10.30pm.
