TV3's Gogglebox Ireland has proved a hit since its debut back in September, with the show reaching over 375,000 viewers on average weekly. It was announced today that TV3 are commissioning the show for another series, and looking for new families/groups of friends to take part.

Bill Malone, TV3 Group Director of Programming, said: “We are delighted with the reaction to our first series of ‘Gogglebox Ireland’. The casting in superb, with the likes of the Tully brothers and Tracie & Anita really capturing Ireland’s love affair with TV, from the moments that make you think to those that make you laugh out loud. ‘Gogglebox Ireland’ is a testament to the quality of programmes on TV3 and series 2 is eagerly awaited."

Producers will be scouring the countryside once more looking for people to take part, with the show's Series Producer Simon Proctor saying; "Families, friends and partners can all be considered – two, three or four people who are already connected, so long as you are opinionated, funny, likeable, smart and have lots to say about what's on the box.

“Top of our list would be a member of the clergy so, if anyone has an aunt who happens to be a nun who loves her telly or knows a perfect priest, we would love to hear from them!”
