The still-untitled prequel is beginning to take shape.
Although Naomi Watts was the first actor to be listed for the still-untitled 'Game of Thrones' prequel series, a slew of actors have now been added to the list.
Naomi Ackle, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp and Toby Regbo have all been cast in unspecified roles in the prequel pilot, which is expected to begin filming shortly.
Naomi Watts' character, meanwhile, is only vaguely described as "a socialite who hides a dark secret" with no word on her character's name or relationship to any of the Great Houses of Westeros. Going across the list of actors, the movies they either have or will soon be appearing in is enough to pique people's interest.
Naomi Ackle will next appear in 'Star Wars: Episode IX', Denise Gough was the voice of Yennefer in 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt', whilst Jamie Campbell Bower played young Grindelwald in 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald'.
SJ Clarkson directing the prequel has people thinking that 'Star Trek 4' is now shelved, as she was lined up to begin work on that ahead of this. Given the level of excitement around a prequel 'Game of Thrones' series, working on that seemed like more a viable option than 'Star Trek 4', which has been plagued by casting issues surrounding Chris Pine.
No air date has been set for the 'Game of Thrones' prequel series.
