TG4 added to their autumn schedule with an exciting lineup of new shows and sports coverage.

An entertaining and distinctive Autumn offering from TG4 was launched last week and includes two new powerful crime drama series set on Ireland’s west coast, ‘Celtic noir’ if you will, top-class drama from Scandinavia and the US, as well as informative and provocative documentaries across a wide span of historical, social and whimsical topics.

There will also be a series that reveals how we are surrounded by folk superstitions and ancient magic, plenty of young peoples’ programmes with a difference and a great line up of exclusive Gaelic games and rugby coverage.

An Bronntanas is a brand new contemporary thriller set against the backdrop of the Connemara coastline as a life-boat crew comes across a valuable cargo of illegal drugs, which promises 'deadly trouble' ahead, while Corp + Anam returns for a second series.

Of course, Ros na RĂșn will be back with storylines that feature lots of local wrangling, gossip, love-stories that blossom and some that fade as well as all the wit and banter that is the daily stuff of social activity in shops, clubs and pubs throughout the country.

Anamnocht is an hour-long, soul-revealing series of programmes, including a major re-appraisal of the divisive two year-long 1988 Dunnes Stores anti-apartheid strike, a history of mental illness in Ireland and the story of the tenacious Donegal tunnellers who are always boring, but in an underground sense.

I mBarr do Shlåinte is A 10 part health education series that will examine the state of the nation, from a health standpoint An Lå a rugadh mé sees some well known faces in for exciting news as they delve behind the newspaper headlines on the day that they were born.

Whe it comes to sports, Laochra Gael will celebrate and chronicle the careers of the top Gaelic games legends, while live coverage of the All-Ireland Minor and Under-21 Finals, the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Gaelic Football Finals from Croke Park, the International Rules Test from Perth, county finals, the AIB Club Provincial Championships and the Allianz National Leagues will also be free to air on the station, along with weekly coverage of the Guinness Pro 12 league competition.

There's plenty more in store too, and you can now catch up with all your favourite TG4 content on the go or whenever suits with the launch of the Smart TV app on the sets of all major manufacturers, an updated and enhanced version of browser-based Player on tg4.tv, and the release of an updated and enhanced version of the TG4 Player App for iPad.
