Ah here, can't Fox just leave this one lie? We did enjoy 24's brief comeback last year for a ninth season after a four-year absence, but we think everyone will agree, that after MANY days of terrorist action, it's now time to just call it a day.

Gary Newman, FOX's co-chairmen/CEO has said; "We have been developing another version of 24, but it's still fairly early in the development process. So there just would be nothing we can tell you at this time other than we are working on something."

Previously Fox's Dana Walden has said there was a possibility that the show would return without Kiefer Sutherland, saying; "We're not talking about continuing the show without him. We're talking about whether there is one installment that he's not in."

Doesn't that sound like the same thing? We're pretty sure it sounds like the same thing.

We are imagining it will involve use of the clock etc, just with a different setting and cast. For some reason, this just can't help come to mind...

Somebody needs to stage a '24' intervention over at Fox. STAT.
