Between X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and American Idol we thought we'd seen it all when it comes to talent contests. But then a new kid on the block arrived to shake things up. And yes, it was a little bit different. Largely because Simon Cowell wasn't in charge.

In this competition, we don't have to put up with dancing dogs or complete eejits without a note in their heads. Nope, this time around the contestants can all actually sing (shocker!) and they don’t harp on about their sick grannies either: Sure it's all about The Voice! So why should you tune in then?

1. Babywatch
Pregnant contestant Kelly Mongan has performed week after week with an ever expanding bump - and she's due any day now! This could make for the best finale of a talent show EVER. Delivering a song and a baby live on stage would be well impressive. And there's no need for Kelly to worry about getting doctors in as Bressie has offered to help after Googling the procedure himself...

2. Coaches Catfighting

Sharon had a big scrap with Jamelia over who had the most solo experience, and they've all slagged Bressie about his retro iPod full of 'dad' songs. He got his own back though, telling Kian to stop talking through his arse, and labeling the other coaches 'gobsh*tes'. That’ll put manners on them alright.

3. Random Revelations
Not only does Bressie reckon 'Call Me Maybe' is the best tune ever, he also admitted his favourite band of all time is, er, Abba. Jamelia pretended she was best mates with Beyonce to get contestants to choose her as coach. And Kian said he'd be only delighted to have his face tattooed on someone's arse. And then there was that whole face paint thing...

4. Angry Audience

Viewers have been sending the coaches some rather harsh tweets. Jamelia was compared to a horse and Sharon was told to get a sambo into her. Someone posted that Bressie was crap at rugby. And poor Kian had the hardest time of it with one tweet saying he was the most annoying person on the planet and should be punched in the face - with an iron no less. They all took it in their stride though, dedicating a portion of the show to reading the tweets out themselves.

5. Stylish Sharon
Forget the fash-offs between Cheryl and Dannii, tuning in to see what Sharon Corr is wearing is way more fun! Donning a snazzy pair of metallic trousers during the blind auditions resulted in #goldpants trending on Twitter. And she caused 'Knickergate' when she wore a dress with what appeared to be a lace thong pinned to her chest. Sure 'underwear as outerwear' is all the rage these days don'cha know?
