Film4 has removed Chris Morris's 2010 comedy Four Lions from its upcoming schedule after Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon.
The film tells the tale of a group of radical British Muslims who plan a bomb attack during the London Marathon.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 said: "In light of recent tragic events, Film4 has decided not to proceed with the planned broadcast of Four Lions, which was scheduled for Monday." It was originally intended for broadcast on Monday April 22nd, the day after the London Marathon, and has now been replaced by the comedy Role Models.
Satirist Chris Morris, who wrote and directed the movie, is no stranger to controversy - particularly the paedophilia episode of Brass Eye, which caused a Daily Mail-style media outrage in the UK. Incidentally, Morris won a BAFTA for his work on Four Lions.
What do we think, is it a wise move to remove this from the schedules or is it an example of media over-compensation?
