From the King of Rock and Roll to the King of England, our Jonathan Rhys Meyers has played many an iconic role and now he's about to take on another one as the undisputed King of Vampires in Sky Living HD's Dracula.
The new series sees the rather calculating Count arriving in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who just wants to teach the English a thing or two about modern science. Little do they know, he's actually hoping to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life a few centuries earlier.
Now, that'd all be pretty easy going for our boy (he's a smart one that Dracula) if it weren't for the rather enchanting Mina Murray, who just so happens to be the spitting image of his dead wife. You might recognise this lovely lady: She's played by none other than Jessica De Gouw, aka Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress from Arrow (which returns to Sky 1 HD on October 21st by the by). Needless to say Mina's beloved Jonathan Harker (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) is none too impressed to see another lad eyeing up his missus.
The Irish are well and truly represented this time around with our own Victoria Smurfit is back in action as Lady Jane, a rather sophisticated woman who can't help but fall for the main man's charms, and Merlin maven Katie McGrath also stars as Mina's good pal Lucy Westenra. The show is due to debut on Sky Living HD on October 31st, but if you quite simply can't wait that long to sink your teeth into Mr Rhys Meyers and co then you'll most likely want to head along to a very special Irish Premiere screening, eh?
It just so happens that there's one taking place in Dublin's Christ Church Cathedral at 3pm sharp on Thursday 10th October, and we've teamed up up with Sky to offer 20 pairs of tickets to 20 lucky entertainment.ie readers.
Did we mention Mr Rhys Meyers, Victoria Smurfit and the cast will be in attendance?
All you have to do is answer one simple question, and you too could be falling under Jonathan, err sorry, Dracula's spell. Make sure you get entering quick sharp now though, because the competition closes tomorrow, Tuesday October 8th. Good luck!
