Would you like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to wake you up at 4 am and offer to change your life forever? That's what participants in his new Reality TV series can look forward to when it debuts in the US of A next year.

As per Deadline, US network TNT (No, not those fine folks who brought Honey Boo Boo into our lives, that's TLC you're thinking about there) had ordered 8 episodes of a show which will see Johnson ringing people in the early hours to give them a "wake up call", before helping them to deal with various obstacles in their lives.

The project came about after Johnson teamed up with the network to produce an aspirational reality series called The Hero. Bosses were so impressed with him that they decided another show was most definitely on the cards.

"We had a wonderful time working with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson on The Hero, in which he challenged and mentored a group of everyday heroes" TNT and TBS executive David Eilenberg said in a statement. "Wake Up Call evolved from our experience on The Hero and is its natural successor, bringing the human spirit of that show home to take on everyday challenges."

It all sounds a bit Dr Phil meets Operation Transformation to us, but we're guessing it'll prove pretty popular given the fact that The Rock has rather 'legendary' status. Sure hasn't the world forgiven him for Tooth Fairy already?
