As ice cream cake madness unfolded for the bakers
If last night's 80s-themed episode had a theme song, it would have been David Bowie and Queen's 'Under Pressure'. Or maybe Violent Femmes could have played throughout with 'Blister In The Sun' too. Either way, it was carnage in that heat.
From quiches to doughnuts, and finally, an ice-cream cake - 80s week on 'Bake Off' tested our amateur bakers to their very limits. Coming out on top with Star Baker once again this week was Hermine, who was praised for her flavours and textures in her three bakes.
But one thing proved very difficult for everyone - that disastrous ice-cream cake showstopper.

Unfortunately, all of this messing around with melted cakes led to one big fan-favourite contestant bowing out of the competition once again. This time around, sadly it was time for straight-talking and always there for a cracking sound-bite Lottie, who was the seventh contestant to leave the 'Bake Off' tent.
Just last week, she had won the title of Star Baker. And Twitter was furious with the result.
Here's some of the reaction the episode as well as Lottie's exit received on social media.

Next week on 'Bake Off' it'll be time for desserts to take centre stage.
There was more sad 'Bake Off' news during the week, with the news that series five contestant Luis Troyano had passed away. He was 48.
