Yee-haw, etc.
Seeing as how we all missed out on the 'Late Late Show Country Special' earlier this year, it's only right that it's now one of the last episodes of the year - and it features Dolly Parton, too.
The country icon will be taking part in the special episode of 'The Late Late Show' on December 11th, with Tubridy confirming the news on Radio 1 earlier today. "This is big for us because she is somebody we have wanted to have on for a long time," Tubridy explained. "I am very excited for Dolly Parton because of what she does for children and books and her resilience, it is just amazing. And her story and voice are amazing, and her talent is extraordinary."
Previous years saw the likes of Mike Denver, Nathan Carter, and others from the Irish country scene take part in the special, so it's only right that this year features Dolly Parton. Not only that, she made headlines down in Cork recently when it was announced that she had gifted 3,000 children's books through her Imagination Library project.
Here's hoping we don't get to see Tubridy trying to duet with Parton on something like this, however. No offence to Tubridy but nobody's replacing The Gambler.
