Still mourning the loss of Merlin on a Saturday night? Never fear, the BBC have announced a whole host of new programming to fill the void, including a Doctor Who special that will be shot entirely in 3D.
Steven Moffat says its about time technology caught up with the Time Lord, adding that there's "a whole new dimension of adventure for the Doctor to explore". Guess a 50th Anniversary is as good a reason as any to broadcast Jenna-Louise Coleman and her curves in 3D...
That's not all we can expect from the Beeb over the next 12 months though. Call The Midwife will be returning for a Christmas Special, and a third series in 2014 while Death in Paradise gets a third series (Sorry Ben Miller, you'll always be Soren from The Prince and Me in my eyes).
There's also a brand new three-part adaptation of Death Comes To Pemberly (based on PD James' ode to Austin's 'Pride and Prejudice') and a new eight-part thriller called Breakdown. It tells the tale of a man whose son is snatched while on holiday in France. Add top secret law enforcement series The Interceptor, mystery drama Remember Me and a three part adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's 'Jamaica Inn' and you've got a pretty decent line up.
Oh, and there's also a brand new offering from the man behind Misfits, Howard Overman, who'll be taking us to the lost city of Atlantis every Saturday night. It'll be tough to top Merlin but this man does know how to sell a story. After all, Robert Sheehan is basically all his fault...
