As you may have heard, Margaret Thatcher passed away earlier today at the age of 87, and thus, most of the major UK TV channels have made last minute adjustments to their schedules. BBC, UTV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky Atlantic and Pick TV will all be affected. So don't go throwing your remotes at the telly, there's nothing wrong with it.

BBC One will broadcast a 90 minute documentary special from 8.30pm, replacing Panorama's Secrets of Britian's Sharia Councils and the first episode of The Prisoners. We presume these programmes will be aired at a later date. On BBC Two, an extended edition of Newsnight will run from 10.30pm.

Channel 4 will be scrapping Dispatches: Immigration Undercover at 8pm, to make way for Jon Snow's Maggie and Me, a one hour special, during which the Channel 4 News legend takes us through his days as a cub reporter, following Thatcher around the world. Alastair Stewart will lead ITV's coverage at 10.35pm, though it is still unclear whether this will affect UTV viewers.

Sky Atlantic are also planning to air an obituary at 8pm. The hour long documentary will fill the time slot ahead of Game of Thrones, while Pick TV's obituary will go out at 9pm.

And if you just have SaorView, you probably won't notice a thing inallinanyways!
