The show is set to launch on Max and aims to adapt each book

Daniel Radcliffe, who famously portrayed the iconic role of Harry Potter in eight films from 2001 to 2011, has shared his thoughts on the upcoming 'Harry Potter' television series.

When asked about the possibility of a cameo or guest appearance in the TV series, Radcliffe told E! Online: "I don’t think so. I think they very wisely want to [have] a clean break. And I don’t know if it would work to have us do anything in it. I’m very happy to just watch along with everyone else."

Radcliffe emphasised the importance of distancing the TV series from the film franchise. He believes that starting fresh is essential for the show’s success.

"My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh," he explained. "I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere.

"I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world, and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it."

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav previously announced that the 'Harry Potter' TV series is hoping to launch on Max in 2026. The ambitious project plans to span seven seasons, covering the entire magical journey from 'The Philosopher's Stone' to 'The Deathly Hallows'.

While no castings have been announced yet, fans worldwide eagerly await this new chapter in the wizarding world.
